A Note About Moving Insurance

FixPrice Move is fully licensed, insured, and bonded; however moving insurance is different than any other type of insurance you may be familiar with.

The most notable difference is that basic moving insurance pays you based on the weight of an object in question, regardless of loss or damage. The payout is a flat $0.60 per pound, per item.

A better example of how moving insurance works would be this example

Let's say (for argument's sake), that we transport your brand-new $1000.00 Sony HDTV. The TV weights 100-pounds. If loss or damage occurs, you will receive a payout of $60.00 (100lbs X .60 = $60.00).

This is the most we are allowed to give by the puc, due to regulations regarding both insurance and moving. We provide additional coverage through MovingInsurance.com for either specific items or your entire shipment.
